60,000 euro to improve safety around robots

SmartIndustry, Robotics – The safety of collaborative robots (that work closely with people) is a tricky issue. The safety standards are quite ambiguous as well. The COVR project wants to change this. The aim is to create a toolkit that can be used to validate the safety of cobots.

EU call to Cobot builders

To this end, the project partners are calling out to cobot builders to submit a project. Projects with innovative value can be rewarded with € 60,000. In exchange, the submitter will validate his cobot with the COVR toolkit.

Cobot builders from the medical, industrial, agro and food sectors can submit an application. Drones, military cobots and invasive cobots are not eligible for this project.

The deadline is October 31^st 2019.
