Empowering Neighbourhoods for Climate Action
2019-04-10 @ 08:00 - 2019-04-11 @ 17:00
For successful implementation of climate mitigation and adaptation strategies, it is fundamental to involve neighbourhoods and their residents. Changing perspectives from top-down to bottom-up and meeting residents eye-to-eye is key to create sustainable, long term results. To further this way of addressing climate action, a two-day working conference takes place in Arnhem on 10 and 11 April 2019.
Day 1 of the working conference focusses on ‘the Dutch Approach’ and is open to parties already deeply involved in this approach. Starting from the experiences of partner and host city of Arnhem, expert dialogue will focus on role definition, capacity building, knowledge sharing and other success factors in developing constructive partnerships with neighbourhoods and their residents.
Day 2 showcases local climate activities from Germany, United Kingdom, France, Belgium and the Netherlands. Experience a versatile range of topics – from encouraging residents to take action on energy efficiency and energy poverty to financial support tools and new ways of cooperation. Enhance your understanding of local climate action via expert discussions, practitioner workshops, a guided market-place amongst others.
We are looking forward to meet you in Arnhem!
