<p>On 10 September, a French delegation visited Wageningen Campus to discover the innovative strength of East Netherlands at the intersection of Food, Tech &amp; Health. Think East Netherlands organised the visit to build new connections between French and East Netherlands companies, knowledge institutions and innovation ecosystems.</p><p>The delegation included Géraldine Dantelle, Attaché for Scientific and Academic Cooperation, Marnix Satter, Policy Officer for Scientific and Academic Cooperation, and Géraldine Quetin, expert in deeptech innovation.</p><h2>From startups to AI and robotics</h2><p>During the visit, the delegation explored different parts of the FoodTech ecosystem on and around Wageningen Campus. At StartLife, the focus was on the growth of AgriFoodTech startups. Unilever/HIVE demonstrated how companies are driving food innovation, while OnePlanet Research Center presented applications of new technologies, AI and sensing in agrifood and health. Wageningen University &amp; Research also shared its knowledge and developments in Food &amp; Health. The delegation also visited the Vision + Robotics Parcours, showcasing innovations at the intersection of technology and agrifood. Together, these visits provided a broad view of how knowledge, technology and entrepreneurship come together in East Netherlands.</p><h2>From introduction to collaboration</h2><p>The visit marks a starting point for further collaboration. France and East Netherlands see opportunities in Food &amp; Health, AgriFoodTech, agricultural robotics and data-driven food production. There is already a strong foundation to build on. France and the Netherlands are developing a new programme around food, nutrition &amp; health, involving Wageningen University &amp; Research, among others. The Netherlands, France and Germany are also already collaborating in the fields of agricultural robotics and data-driven cultivation. Think East Netherlands will build on these connections by linking companies, knowledge partners and innovation ecosystems in East Netherlands with relevant partners in France and across Europe.
