We are focusing on AI, chips and cyber resilience, among other things. This will strengthen our position in national and European value chains. This is also important in view of international technological competition (US and China).</p><p>For Europe, the eastern Netherlands is a hub in value chains related to chips, photonics, AI and robotics. Cross-border cooperation with North Rhine-Westphalia and Fraunhofer institutes increases our effectiveness. Through TECH.LAND, the EDIHs and Interreg projects, we are continuing to build strong European partnerships.</p><h2>This is how we are realising our ambition</h2><p>The Digital Industry &amp; Technology ecosystem brings together knowledge institutions, companies and networks, such as AI Hub East Netherlands, ChipTech Twente/Gelderland, Advanced Materials and High Tech NL. Innovations are tested and applied in practice in field labs such as Perron038, ZWINC, Industrial Reality Hub and TUCCR.</p><p>Through crossovers with MedTech &amp; Prevention, Smart Food Production and Smart Energy, we increase the social impact of Digital Industry &amp; Technology.</p><p>We focus on key technologies such as AI and data spaces, robotics and mechatronics, semiconductors and integrated photonics, quantum technology, cybersecurity/ /NIS2-ready, digital twins and industrial automation, private 5G/edge (towards 6G) , energy ICT and predictive maintenance. These technologies ensure more efficient production, lower energy consumption and greater security of supply.&nbsp;In addition, specific attention is paid to dual-use technologies, whereby civil innovations also contribute to security and defence. In this way, we are strengthening strategic autonomy at national and European level.&nbsp;</p>
