The Einstein Telescope (ET) will be a highly sensitive underground observatory for detecting gravitational waves. To make this groundbreaking technology possible, new innovations are needed in fields such as optics, lasers, vacuum technology, cryogenics, and data analysis. Through the Interreg VI project COMET (CoMaking the Einstein Telescope), Dutch and German companies, research institutions, and innovation partners are collaborating on the development of these key technologies.

Hydrogen to Business (H2B) promotes the use of hydrogen technology among energy-intensive small and medium-sized enterprises in the Interreg 6A Netherlands-Germany region. The project accelerates the adoption of green hydrogen, but also allows for low-carbon hydrogen and energy carriers (including methanol, biogas, and LOHCs) when electrification is not feasible. In this way, H2B directly contributes to “A more innovative program area” by increasing research and innovation capacity and introducing advanced technologies.

KPF FoodPlus helps SMEs in the Dutch-German agrifood sector make their products, processes and services more sustainable. Companies can receive support for feasibility studies and cross-border innovation projects aimed at reducing emissions of ammonia, greenhouse gases and nitrates. The project focuses on four themes: precision agriculture, reducing food waste and loss, circular food systems and energy-efficient food production.Home | KPF FoodPlus KPF FoodPlus | Oost NL

Smart Carbon Farming

The Interreg project “Smart Carbon Farming” promotes carbon farming as a sustainable solution for farmers and the environment. Carbon farming is an agricultural method in which carbon is sequestered in the soil. This removes CO2 from the air and stores it. This technique improves soil health, reduces fertilizer use, and has a positive impact on the climate.
