Through the European networks EURADA and ERRIN, Oost NL has contributed to an open letter regarding the new European multiannual budget for 2028–2034. In this appeal, twelve European networks draw attention to the strength of regional innovation ecosystems and to the continued role of regions in European innovation policy.This is important for the Eastern Netherlands. Regional ecosystems are where innovation is born, converges and scales up. The open letter therefore advocates for strong regional strategies, scope for cooperation between regions and a firmer anchoring of regional involvement in the implementation of the future EU budget.Vera Leonhart, program manager Think East Netherlands: “Regions are where innovation takes root and grows.
