<p><i>University of Twente, Saxion University of Applied Sciences, ZGT hospital and Oost NL organized the fifth EUVECA partner meeting in Enschede</i><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;<br>The 5th partner meeting of the EUVECA project took place in Enschede from 10 to 12 June 2024, with all project partners from the seven participating European regions. The EUVECA project was started in 2022 to properly prepare healthcare and welfare professionals for the skills needed in the future. EUVECA stands for EUropean platform for Vocational Excellence in Health Care. It works by training current and future professionals in digital and communication skills, inter- and multidisciplinary collaboration and innovation.</p><h3>Future-proof healthcare</h3><p>The partner meeting started with a pre-conference meeting at Saxion University of Applied Sciences organized by the Technology, Care &amp; Healthcare research group. The pre-conference meeting focused on research and educational activities that are in line with the EUVECA project and the specific expertise of Saxion University of Applied Sciences in the field of acceptance and implementation of technology in practice and the training of future-proof professionals, including a visit to the XR Lab for Health and Wellbeing.</p><h3>EUVECA-platform with learning activities</h3><p>The European Platform for Vocational Excellence (EPVE) was shown during the EUVECA partner meeting. Several learning activities have been developed that will be available on the EUVECA platform. The launch of the platform is in September and that is the starting point for students and professionals to test the learning and training activities.</p><p>Bachelor students from the Smart Solutions Semester from Saxion University and a student from the master Educational Science &amp; Technology from the University of Twente shared their knowledge. They presented the results of projects on the implementation of megatrends in the nursing and social work curriculum. And also the role of professional identity in shaping learning strategies for the development of future-proof skills aimed at Dutch hospital nurses.</p><h3>Development of regional hubs</h3><p>Great steps have been taken in the further development of the Regional Vocational Excellence Hubs (RVEH). The seven regions from Norway, Denmark, Slovenia, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy and Spain presented their Governance model. This concerns Purpose, People, Process and Product of their regional hubs.&nbsp;</p><h3>Inspiring activities</h3><p>Substantive workshops were alternated with social activities, such as an art and architecture walk across the campus. A visit to the Techmed Center, where the University of Twente gave a tour and showed their advanced simulation center. Besides these informative activities, there was also room for relaxation and team building, with a morning yoga session, activities such as 'kubb games' and "graanzak smiet'n" (throwing beanbags), and a bicycle tour through Enschede with, of course, typical Dutch weather.</p><p>The partners look forward to intensifying mutual cooperation and also the further development of Twente Regional Vocational Excellence Hub, together with Saxion University of Applied Sciences, ZGT, University of Twente and Oost NL.
