SAFE contributes to the international positioning of East Netherlands as an innovative European region. By connecting Dutch and German businesses, knowledge institutions and public authorities, the project strengthens cross-border collaboration in the field of Defence &amp; Dual Use Technology.Within SAFE, Oost NL works alongside the Dutch regional development agencies BOM, LIOF and NOM, as well as German partners, to support innovative SMEs, stimulate international collaboration and strengthen cross-border value chains. This creates new opportunities for companies to participate in European innovation programmes, international consortia and defence-related supply chains.<h2>Cross-border collaboration</h2>The project is led by NMWP.NRW. The project is co-funded by the European Union, the Ministerium für Wirtschaft, Industrie, Klimaschutz und Energie des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen, the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Niedersächsische Staatskanzlei, the Provinces of Gelderland, Noord-Brabant, Groningen and Limburg, and the participating project partners.
